Travel Guidelines by Pregnancy Week

Up to the end of Week 26

Week 27 to end of Week 31

(Week 26 to end of Week 30 Multiple Pregnancy)

Travel permitted – medical certificate required
Pregnant person
From Week 32 onwards

(From Week 32 onwards Multiple Pregnancy)

Travel not permitted

Note: Please ensure that you meet these requirements for both your departure and return flights.

Medical Certificate Requirements


If you are traveling after the first day of Week 27 (or Week 26 for multiple pregnancy)‚ you must present a medical certificate that meets the following criteria:

  • Must be written in English
  • Includes your full name as it appears in your passport
  • Specifies the type of pregnancy (single or multiple) and the current week
  • Issued no more than 5 days before your flight date
  • Contains an express confirmation from your doctor stating you are fit to fly on the relevant dates (departure and return)

Keep in Mind

To ensure the highest safety standards:

  • Pregnant passengers may not be seated in Emergency Exit rows
  • Pregnant passengers may not travel with an infant or a pet unless accompanied by an additional adult
  • For safety reasons‚ pregnant passengers may not travel with musical equipment that requires an extra seat.
