Battery Guidelines

  • Damaged Batteries: Strictly forbidden. Do not bring damaged or defective batteries/equipment on board.
  • Accidental Activation: All battery-powered devices must be prepared to prevent accidental activation during the flight.
  • Packing Spares: Keep spare batteries in their original packaging. If unavailable‚ insulate the terminals with tape and place each battery in a separate plastic bag to prevent short circuits.
  • No Charging: It is strictly forbidden to charge any electronic devices during the flight. The use of Power Banks is prohibited while on board.

E-cigarettes and vapes are permitted in the cabin only. They are strictly forbidden in checked baggage.

Devices such as cell phones‚ e-readers‚ cameras‚ and tablets may be used throughout the flight‚ provided they remain in Flight Mode.

Large devices (like Laptops & Power Banks) and spare batteries must be carried in the cabin whenever possible.

  • Storage: These items must be securely stowed during takeoff and landing.
  • Quantity: Limit of 2 spare batteries per passenger. Each must be individually protected (e.g.‚ in a plastic bag).
  • Power-Off: Ensure all devices are fully turned off (not in sleep mode) and that all automated settings (alarms‚ apps) are disabled.

In cases where a PED cannot be carried in the cabin (e.g.‚ due to size):

  1. The device must be completely switched off.
  2. Ensure no automated settings can turn the device on.
  3. Wrap the device in protective padding (e.g.‚ clothing) or a hard case to prevent physical damage.
  4. Do not pack devices in the same bag as flammable items like perfumes or aerosols.
